Tyson Fury has been accused of “sh***ng himself” after denying claims the pair were back in fight talks over a December meeting.

Fury looked set to face Usyk this month at Wembley Stadium with the fighters having held extensive talks over an undisputed title fight but it was shelved at the eleventh hour. It remains unclear who the ‘Gypsy King’ will take on next following the fight collapsed, with Usyk’s team walking away after being left unhappy by the WBC champion’s public contract demands.Fresh reports indicated that Fury could take on Usyk in Saudi Arabia in December this year as part of a four-heavyweight tournament which would feature Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder. Both Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn and Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott appeared to suggest that the Middle East were indeed interested in making it a possibility.

However Fury immediately shot down the rumours insisting they were “bull****” on his side of the non-existent negotiating table. But Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk has now leapt to offer fresh criticism of the British star, writing on social media: “He’s s****ing his pants again.”

Neither Fury or Usyk have yet to confirm their next move in the division after the collapse of their mega-fight, but Usyk has been ordered to make a mandatory WBA defence of his title against Daniel Dubois in the summer. It is expected that there could be another window to revive the fight for all the marbles if Usyk does indeed come through his test against the domestic challenger.
